Virtual topping out for Assembly A

We are very pleased to announce that the topping out ceremony for Building A has taken place virtually. The topping out ceremony marks the highest point of the building being completed. Building A consists of 190,000 sq ft of office and retail space and was pre-leased to BT in October 2019. The 11 story building will be the first phase to be delivered as part of the overall 320,000 sq ft development.

While the ceremony was a scaled back version of the real thing due to the coronavirus pandemic, this is not only great news for Assembly Bristol but also for Bristol as a whole, signifying the next milestone in the development of brand new commercial and mixed use premises for the city.

Galliford Try’s Area Director, Mark Wusthoff, commented, “The collaborative effort of the whole project team is represented by reaching this key project milestone. The topping out of Assembly A brings this landmark development in Bristol a step closer to completion and the realisation of a unique offering of contemporary office space. Together we have overcome some real challenges to bring the building and its prominent exoskeletal frame to reality.”
